Providing management and technical expertise required to achieve ISO accreditation for Forensic Science Service Providers

(PDFI) (www.pdf-i.com), a leading service disabled veteran owned small business providing defensible digital forensic solutions and ISO accreditation consulting services to public and private sector customers, announced today that the District of Columbia, Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) awarded the company a contract to provide ISO/IEC 17020 consultative services; to assist the agency in all management and technical areas required to achieve ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation for Forensic Inspection Bodies.
OCME provides forensic services to government agencies, health care providers and citizens in the Washington DC metropolitan area to ensure that justice is served and to improve the health and safety of the public. OCME achieved national-level accreditation by the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME) in March of 2016 and their forensic toxicology program is currently accredited with the American Board of Forensic Toxicologist. The future of accreditation for the forensic pathology and forensic toxicology services at OCME is to achieve ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO/IEC 17025 international-level accreditations.
