Computer Forensics

PDFI’s computer collection and processing services are designed to collect, preserve, store, process, analyze, report on, and dispose of desktop and laptop computer systems, servers (File / SQL / Exchange / Cloud), digital storage media, and targeted electronically stored information. PDFI staff follow standard digital forensics processing models and use computer forensic best practices, procedures and methods that are industry accepted and follow guidelines published by the Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence (SWGDE), which ensures evidence integrity and court admissibility.

Forensic services are offered as onsite data collection and seizure support, in laboratory collection and processing at PDFI’s facility, and at client-site locations.  Additional services include hard drive recovery, tape restoration, encryption/password recovery.

Mobile Device and Tablet Forensics

PDFI’s mobile device and tablet collection and processing services are designed to collect, preserve, store, process, analyze, report on, and dispose of cell phones, smart phones, and tablet computer systems. PDFI staff use the latest mobile device and tablet forensic best practices, procedures and methods that are industry accepted and follow guidelines published by the Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence (SWGDE) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which ensures evidence integrity and court admissibility.

Forensic services are offered as onsite data collection and seizure support, in laboratory collection and processing at PDFI’s facility, and at client-site locations.  Additional services include chip-off and JTAG processing.

Audio/Video Forensics

PDFI provides consultation, examination, research, and instructional services for the laboratory analyses of audio and video recordings (both analog and digital) and digital images, and on-site evaluations of acoustical information. We are dedicated to providing objective, scientific examinations of multimedia evidence.

PDFI’s services include, but are not limited to: digitization, conversion, enhancement, redaction, authentication, speaker recognition, expert testimony support, research, and training.
